Salesforce Sets October GA for Marketing Cloud Next Campaign Agent
The agent assembles audiences, personalizes messages, and prioritizes sends end-to-end — potentially letting a small B2B marketing team run the cadence of a much larger one.
Salesforce will ship Campaign Agent inside Marketing Cloud Next in October, moving the full campaign workflow, audience assembly, message personalization, send prioritization, and competing-message suppression, behind a single agentic interface grounded in live CRM data. The announcement, detailed September 28 by Salesforce product marketing managers Dmitry Sheynin and Austin Javellana after the three-day Dreamforce 2026 run at Moscone Center, lands inside a slate that also includes Agent Optimizer GA in October, Slackforce GA in October, long-horizon agents in November, and Koa, Salesforce’s first in-house CRM reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron, expected in winter.
The strategic read is simpler than the product sheet suggests. For a B2B team of 5–30 people on Salesforce, the agent collapses roles that used to need either a dedicated marketing ops hire or an outside agency. Piper handles SDR work, Fin handles service, Agentforce Coworker reaches GA, and Agentforce Voice picks up six new languages (Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Canadian French). The head-of-marketing job starts looking less like coordinating people and more like approving agent output.
Everyone is building the same thing. HubSpot’s Campaign Agent documentation dropped September 16; Demandbase published Mojo on September 15; Madison Logic’s AI Planner surfaced September 9; Adobe added Marketo Optimizer, Qualifier, and Coworker on September 28. HubSpot cut 600 jobs the same week CEO Yamini Rangan accelerated an AI-first strategy, and is opening Prospecting Agent to Starter customers. Microsoft entered public preview with Dynamics 365 Activate, 30 new pre-built Copilot skills, and a Sales Development Agent that begins Copilot credit billing November 16, with Adobe and Comcast as early customers; Futurum’s Keith Kirkpatrick described Activate as aimed squarely at the Salesforce installed base. Google’s Gemini Agent sits one layer above all of it.
The demand side is already there. World Federation of Advertisers research published September 30, covering 54 senior respondents across 46 companies, found 96% using generative or agentic AI: 54% for media buying, 48% for planning, 46% for workflow automation, 20% testing paid ads inside large language models, and only 4% placing that work among top priorities. IDHL’s parallel study across 1.5 million AI search sessions, 175 websites, and 20 industries clocked AI-search-attributable revenue up 321% and transactions up 553% over 13 months.
Campaign Agent isn’t the beginning of this cycle. It’s the quarter the agents started shipping GA.
