Dapta raises $6M to put an always-on AI sales agent inside SMBs

The Miami-based startup says Dapti answers, qualifies, and books meetings the moment an inbound lead arrives — a bet that speed-to-lead is the real customer-acquisition gap for small service businesses.

Dapta, the Miami- and Scottsdale-based startup building an AI sales agent for small businesses, said Tuesday it raised a $6 million seed round led by Chingona Ventures, bringing total funding to $7.4 million after a $1.4 million pre-seed in 2024. Crew Capital, Broom Ventures, and Cometa VC joined, alongside existing backers 500 Global and Fen Ventures.

The product, Dapti, “instantly answers, qualifies and schedules meetings without human intervention the moment a prospect reaches out.” That sentence is the entire thesis. For a five-to-thirty-person service business, the customer-acquisition bottleneck isn’t lead volume; it’s the three minutes between a form submission and a competitor’s callback.

Dapta claims businesses using Dapti double their contact rates with prospects. Aether Mechanical, a Denver HVAC provider, is the proof point the company keeps returning to. “directly led our revenues to increase upwards of 20 percent,” says COO Ivan Comejo. Other named customers include Nona Cleaning in Orlando, Baur Pools in New Jersey, and Miami Tech & Arts University, with larger regional users Mercado Libre and Rappi lending Latin American credibility. The company reports paying customers in 26 countries, roughly 90 in South Florida, with subscriptions starting at $99 a month.

The growth figures are stacked: more than 200,000 users, roughly 4,000 new ones a week, revenue doubled over the past six months, and a forecast exceeding $4 million annually. Superpower Daily flagged the forecast-versus-realized distinction and some user-count framing. Founder Nicolás Rojas, originally from Colombia, runs a team of about 50 and plans a South Florida hiring expansion in 2027. Dapta’s own social reach, more than 400,000 followers across platforms, is doing quiet distribution work for a company selling to owners who find vendors on Instagram.

The structural read is that the SMB AI-adoption gap, with large companies adopting at roughly twice the rate of the smallest businesses, has become a venture thesis rather than a lament. Chingona’s Samara Hernandez led the round; Crew Capital’s Brandon Deer, also UiPath’s CSO, participated. HubSpot, meanwhile, just opened its Prospecting Agent to Starter-tier customers at $1 per contact, targeting the same buyer from the opposite direction. Dapti answers inbound; HubSpot’s agent runs outbound. The compression of that gap is the actual market.
