ZoomInfo buys DoubleO.ai and ships Agent Teams, aiming to make GTM agents actually run
ZoomInfo announced the acquisition of multi-agent orchestration startup DoubleO.ai on September 30 and launched Agent Teams the next day, pitching champion-tracking and closed-won lookalike workflows that run end-to-end.
ZoomInfo acquired multi-agent orchestration startup DoubleO.ai on September 30 and shipped Agent Teams, built on DoubleO’s technology, the following day. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, and DoubleO’s own site didn’t resolve in DNS on the day of the announcement, per Beri.net. The acquisition closes the loop between ZoomInfo’s data layer and the orchestration tissue needed to make GTM agents do more than demo well.
That’s the pitch, anyway. “Every revenue leader has seen an AI agent demo. Almost none have seen it actually run a real GTM motion end-to-end,” said CEO Henry Schuck, in a line that doubles as acknowledgment of the category’s credibility problem.
Agent Teams lands inside ZoomInfo’s GTM Studio at no additional cost for existing customers, according to Reuters wire carried by Investing.com. Two workflows are being pushed hard: tracking when a champion changes jobs so sellers can re-engage at the new company, and converting a closed-won deal into tailored outreach to 10 lookalike companies. Both are motions that small revenue teams either do by hand or skip entirely. Automating them is where the pitch gets real.
The pricing picture is murkier. CFO Graham O’Brien told investors the seat-to-consumption shift begins “with new business at the end of Q3,” per Beri.net, and DoubleO’s orchestration has no published SKU or meter yet. Per-trigger credit metering makes total cost unknowable until rates land. DoubleO co-founder Derek Osgood claimed “10x gains” from reliable multi-agent execution, which Beri.net correctly flagged as a vendor figure with no benchmark behind it.
The competitive frame is now legible. HubSpot’s Unbound platform and Salesforce’s named Agentforce agents are selling the same promise on top of their own data layers. ZoomInfo’s wedge is that its data layer was always the input the other two had to buy from. The question for buyers isn’t whether these agents can run a motion. It’s who gets to meter the running.
