Floqer pitches autonomous prospecting fleet at Disrupt, plans to open-source database in early 2027
The Halifax startup, now at $1.2M ARR with more than 1,000 customers, told TechCrunch its AI agents cut prospecting time by up to 70% by continuously enriching CRM records from 100-plus data sources.
Floqer, the Halifax startup pitching autonomous B2B prospecting agents, took the Startup Battlefield stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and used the moment to announce it’ll open-source its customer-knowledge database in early 2027, pending security review. The company told TechCrunch it has crossed $1.2 million in ARR with more than 1,000 customers, having grown revenue roughly tenfold in the past year on a headcount of eight.
The pitch landed Floqer in a Startup Battlefield cohort of 20 finalists selected from thousands of applicants, competing for the $100,000 Disrupt Cup. Its Enterprise and Security semifinal slot put it alongside CedarDB, Apate.ai, Prismm, and GUDEA.
Founded in October 2024 by CEO Shivam Mahajan (previously at Kyndryl) and CTO Zaaheda Islam (previously at Axis Capital), both out of Dalhousie University, Floqer started life as a Chrome extension that logged in through ChatGPT. “We started with a Chrome extension, which is called ‘Super Chat,’” Mahajan said. The pivot came from listening to the sales teams using it: “When we spoke with them, they told us that it’s super manual for them to clean their CRM data, and there were no established processes around that.”
The current product watches more than 100 third-party data sources, enriches CRM records continuously, and surfaces signals like funding events and job changes. Customers, which include Perplexity, Wise, AngelList, and Seattle-based infrastructure-as-code company Pulumi, report cutting prospecting time by as much as 70%. A $2 million pre-seed in June 2026, led by Toronto’s N49P with Tidal Venture Partners, Perplexity’s F7 Fund, and Perplexity co-founder Denis Yarats, funded the buildout.
The open-source turn is the strategically interesting beat. “Our autonomous customer knowledge database is only available to a limited audience, mostly due to how much demand our team can actually serve properly,” Mahajan said. “But open-sourcing it will help us fix that.”
It’s a familiar move: distribute what you can’t staff. The autonomous-prospecting category is crowding fast. Giving the database away is how an eight-person team competes with incumbents without hiring against them.
