Wix ships Symphony, a standalone multi-agent platform aimed at SMB growth work
Symphony by Wix rolls out as a platform-agnostic AI agent system led by an orchestrator called Maestro, promising founder-led businesses a proactive team that runs outreach and marketing with owner approval.
Wix launched Symphony by Wix from New York on Aug. 11, 2026, a standalone multi-agent platform pitched at small businesses and, notably, sold as platform-agnostic: it works whether the customer runs on Wix, on a competitor’s stack, or has no website at all. That last clause is the interesting one. Wix (NASDAQ: WIX) is selling growth-operations software to people who aren’t its site-builder customers.
At the center sits Maestro, an orchestrator agent that, per Wix’s press room, “understands what is happening across the business, identifies what needs attention next, and coordinates the right specialized agent for each job.” Specialized agents handle outreach, campaigns, and follow-up. A separate quality-review agent screens output before it reaches the owner. Each morning the agents hold what Wix calls a “morning meeting,” summarizing completed work, pending items, and opportunities drawn from business activity, customer behavior, and current trends.
“We built Symphony to be the go-to AI agent orchestrator for SMBs,” said Wix COO Ronny Elkayam. TechRadar Pro framed it as an “AI workforce” for the one-to-four-employee operator, the founder-led profile that historically underspends on sales and marketing because there’s no one to spend the time.
The launch reads less as a product event than as a capstone on a slow pivot. SiliconAngle traces the arc: Wix acquired no-code builder Base44 in June 2025 and debuted an in-house model, Base 1, in June 2026. Symphony is the operational layer those moves were building toward. The company is treating its two decades of SMB data as a moat, and treating the site itself as an increasingly optional artifact.
The competitive floor is already crowded. MarTech’s Aug. 27 roundup catalogued Hostinger’s AI Builder, Wired2Lead’s AI Executive Team, and Okara’s AI CMO v2 in the same window. The category is being named by half a dozen vendors at once, which usually means the label wins before any single product does. No early user results have been reported.
